Cranio-Sacral Therapy

This form of bodywork involves gentle contact with areas such as the head, spine, and sacrum and may help to release tightness and contraction in the body. The memory of traumatic or stressful events can be held in the body as pain or tension and by helping to calm the nervous system, the body’s self healing mechanisms can be stimulated. This gentle approach can be extremely beneficial for acute injuries where the area is extremely sensitive to touch or has a limited range of movement. Many clients report feeling deeply relaxed, rejuvenated, reduction in pain and improved energy levels.

Bonework

This work is from Sharon Wheelers ground breaking enquiry into the fascial plasticity of bone. There are no adjustments of bones but instead the use of gentle touch to help unglue and ‘reshape’ bones that have received trauma or surgery. This works seamlessly in combination with ScarWork to help produce greater range of movement and improved function in moments.

ScarWork

This revolutionary method is highly effective because the aim is to integrate scar tissue into the surrounding tissues in a gentle ‘melting’ way as opposed to breaking down or destroying the tissue. This makes for an incredibly gentle, pain free and relaxing treatment.

This approach has highly effective results, which can help improve function in restricted areas by releasing adhesions that may be limiting the range of movement and causing pain elsewhere in the body. It can help reduce symptoms such as swelling, tightness, numbness and pain, while improving the natural appearance of the scar. Scars of any age can be treated, as long as they have been healed for a minimum of 6-8 weeks.

Tobias 

Tobias comes from a background of design and advertising and as a keen ex-rugby player and semi-pro mountain bike racer, he picked up many sporting injuries and found massage to be an extremely effective way to relieve pain and speed up recovery. This culminated in his decision to change career and retrain as a bodywork therapist.

Tobias is qualified in a wide range of treatments, but finds that a client’s treatment goals can be much more quickly achieved by offering a blended approach which is unique to each client.
